How we work
Our approach combines functional medicine with work on subconscious beliefs and learned stress responses. Functional medicine helps us investigate physical factors such as gut health, inflammation, metabolism and environmental influences. PSYCH-K® and EFT help us explore beliefs and automatic responses that may be influencing how your body responds to stress.
You may feel perfectly safe in your everyday life, yet your nervous system can still be responding as though something is wrong. These responses can develop through past experiences, prolonged stress or illness, and continue without us being consciously aware of them. They can place additional demands on the body and may be one reason recovery feels difficult, even when you're doing everything you can to improve your health.
By working with both the physical factors and these underlying responses, we aim to reduce barriers to recovery and support lasting improvements in health.
Getting started is simple: Explore our practitioner profiles and choose who you'd like to work with. For most new clients, we suggest beginning with Regular Support for the first 1-2 months, giving us time to comprehensively understand your health picture and develop your individual strategy. You can then move to Slower Pace if that feels that it would suit you.
Booking notes:
-
Your initial assessment is included in your monthly care, with no separate assessment fee.
-
Both options are offered on a rolling monthly basis, without a fixed long-term commitment. You can move between levels of support as your needs change.
-
Your care is exclusively with your chosen practitioner, all throughout the process. A purposeful collaboration.
-
Any recommended testing or supplements, if appropriate are charged separately.
-
Regular Support offers a lower consultation rate in recognition of your commitment to ongoing care, while giving us the time and continuity for deeper work.
-
Regular Support is the first step for new clients, allowing time for a thorough initial assessment, development of your individual strategy and the opportunity to begin deeper work together, all within the first month. Then if you prefer a slower pace for ongoing support you can choose that for month 2 and onwards.
Julia and Florence are both highly experienced practitioners, each bringing their own expertise, perspective and clinical interests to JDN. Whichever practitioner you choose, you'll receive the same thoughtful, individualised approach, with continuity of care and a strategy tailored to your needs.
