SCENAR Therapy: Self Controlled Energo Neuro Adaptive Regulation
Active vs. Passive Biofeedback:
A unique approach to working with the nervous system
What Is Biofeedback?
Biofeedback involves receiving real-time information about your body’s internal state - such as heart rate or skin conductance - to help guide changes in health and behaviour. Traditional (passive) biofeedback devices simply reflect this information back, acting like a mirror. While useful, these devices rely on your own interpretation and mental effort to create change

Active Biofeedback: The SCENAR Difference
SCENAR therapy introduces active biofeedback. Instead of just mirroring your body’s signals, SCENAR devices engage in a dynamic, two-way conversation with your body. It sends adaptive signals into your tissues, listen to your body’s subtle responses, and continuously adjusts the output. This interactive process is like having a real conversation, where both sides listen and respond, rather than a one-way reflection.

How Active Biofeedback Works:
-
The device sends a signal into the body.
-
It detects the body’s physiological response.
-
It processes both the body’s feedback and its own internal state.
-
It then adapts its next signal, guiding the body toward balance and self-regulation.
This ongoing dialogue helps the body re-establish natural regulatory processes, leading to healthier function and improved well-being. It is safe and comfortable to receive treatment and usually you leave with a sense of calm in your body. the results unfold over a period of days afterwards as your body is processing this new input.

The Keypoint: The Heart of SCENAR Therapy
A keypoint is a small area of skin that stands out from the surrounding tissue - an energetic or informational “glitch” in the body’s communication network. It acts as a gateway to the body’s self-regulation and repair systems.
How we find the keypoints:
-
The device’s electrode may feel “sticky” on the skin.
-
There may be a visible colour change, a shift in sensation, or a change in device feedback.
-
You might feel a sudden, pinpointed discomfort
Treating the Keypoint:
Once found, we work to “shift” the keypoint - either by brushing the device through it or adjusting the device’s settings. The goal is to disrupt the keypoint’s dysfunctional stability, prompting the body’s healing response and restoring balance.

Why Keypoints Matter:
Keypoints are subtle but significant. They reflect deeper imbalances in the body’s regulatory systems, especially the autonomic nervous system (ANS). By focusing on these hotspots, practitioners help synchronize treatment with the body’s own healing intelligence.

The Science Behind SCENAR Therapy
Yuri Gorfinkel, a pioneer of SCENAR therapy, viewed many diseases as prolonged, inefficient adaptive reactions that trap energy and disrupt the body’s information flow. He suggests the SCENAR treatment:

-
Clears information pathways for better energy distribution.
-
Redirects energy from problem areas to where it’s needed.
-
Restores connectivity in the body’s regulatory networks.
-
Focuses on normalizing the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) for overall health.
Keypoints and the ANS:
Keypoints often show differences in skin colour, muscle tone, sensitivity, temperature, and other signs. These reflect areas where the ANS is not functioning optimally. Treating keypoints directly influences the ANS, helping to restore the body’s regulatory balance.
